Refugee claimants and their advocates say the case deserves the Supreme Court’s attention because it raises key questions about access to remedies for violations of the Charter of Rights and FreedomsThe University Health Network.

The high court is expected to decide in coming weeks whether to hear the case, helping decide the fate of the 17-year-old refugee pact.
